What are the water challenges of the future? Which parts of the world will have to deal with too much, too little or too polluted water? And what will be the effects of a growing world population and climate change on the availability of energy, food and sanitation, and on migration and conflict risk? The Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency has addressed these questions in a global hotspot analysis of water and climate challenges, in collaboration with several Dutch research institutes. The publication The geography of future water challenges will be presented on 19 April 2018 in a special session with the Dutch Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management. We will keep you informed on the ClimateChangePost.
