Viniculture
Vulnerabilities Slovakia
Poor production efficiency of soils in higher areas of foothills do not allow the shift of wine production to higher areas. Climate change, therefore, will presumably change the type of vine species cultivated in Slovakia. Vineyards in Slovakia are not irrigated and consequently a decrease of both quality and quantity of grapes is expected (1).
