Vulnerabilities

Little is known about climate change and cultural heritage exist in Macedonia. An initial rapid vulnerability assessment of climate change impacts on cultural heritage in Macedonia showed that archaeological sites are not only one of the most important categories of heritage in Macedonia but also perhaps the most affected by climate change in the decades to come. Three case studies in particular were mentioned: the archaeological sites of Plaosnik (in Ohrid) and of Stobi, and the Aqueduct of Skopje (1).
