Flash floods and Urban flooding
Vulnerabilities until now
Occasionally, Malta experiences flash floods, as a result of torrential rain over a very short period of time. Over the past 40 years, Malta has experienced an average of six major flash floods, that is to say one every 6-7 years (1).
